Application:
Cartec Compound 5000 is suitable for use on dull car paint, scratches, and oxidation.
Instructions for use:
1. Identify the work area within shoulder width and six times the surface area of the polishing pad.
2. Apply 3 pea-sized dots (for ⌀150mm) of Cartec Compound 5000 to the polishing pad
3a. Rotary: Use the Cartec yellow pad for rotary machines (RF2120 for ⌀150mm). Spread the product at the lowest speed and gradually increase the speed to 1200 - 1500 RPM.
3b. Dual Action: Use the Cartec yellow pad for orbital machines (RF2126 for ⌀150mm). Spread the product at the lowest speed and gradually increase the speed to 3500 - 4800 RPM.
4. Work in sections while applying even pressure. Process the product until the scratches are removed.
5. Thoroughly clean the surface with the Cartec Microfiber Cloth Yellow (RF2205C) to remove all polishing residue.
Tips & Tricks:
Use Cartec Panel Spray (REFLSP) to completely degrease the surface, remove remaining polish residue and review the actual condition of the paintwork.
When using a rotary polishing machine, avoid polishing in one spot for too long to prevent overheating of the paint.
